The village named Hanol lies in the Bhavnagar district and also within the taluka of Palitana. Hanol is approximately 17 km away from the Shetrunjay Tirth {Palitana Taleti}. The occupation of farming, diamond polishing and making of sweets {Milk Peda} are flourishing in Hanol. This village also has a Jain Temple as well as a Jain Monastery {Upashray} and temples of Goddess Nagbai and God Jodeshwar Mahadev. This village approximately has 450 homes with a total of 2500 people. The Hanol Dam is situated almost 400 meters far from the Khodiyar Mandir.

With the kind-hearted, high-spirited and affectionate blessing of Goddess Khodiyar, this village is developing to achieve the height of its glory. The idol of Goddess Khodiyar which is more than 200 years old has appeared miraculously out of the Well (Vaav) near the mandir. This idol is mesmerizingly pure, astoundingly miraculous and gifted with the ability to fulfill wishes of the devotee who prays to it with a pure heart. This idol is 48” {4 feet} tall.

Goddess Khodiyar is Kuldevi of Shree Bhagwandas Bechardas Pariwar, Shree Girdhar Dalichand Pariwar, Shree Jayantilal Hathichand Pariwar, Shree Umedchand Jagjivan Pariwar, Shree Ramniklal Devchand Pariwar, Shree Himmatlal Jagjivan Pariwar, Shree Hiralal Devchand Pariwar, Shree Kantilal Hathichand Pariwar and Shree Hiralal Gulabchand Pariwar.

During the Shilanyas ceremony of this mandir, the devotees of Goddess Khodiyar have written the mantra “Aai Shree Khodiyar Devyai Namah” 27 lakhs times in many books, out of which each book had the mantra written 27,000 times. There were such 100 books that have been kept beneath the divine mandir. Due to these mantras, there exists a field of Positive Vibes and Auras around the mandir.

The Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav of the Mandir & Idol of Goddess Khodiyar was conducted by the famous and knowledgeable Pundit Jayantibhai Shukla. He has conducted Pran Pratishtha ceremonies of over 1000 temples and is even rewarded by our honorable Prime Minister “Mr. Narendra Modi”.

The annual Dhaja Mahotsav of this temple is conducted on POSH VAD 6 with all our family members and devotees of the divine who all together pray to the Goddess with their full devotion.
